If your here for fishing and plan on being up early thank Pecan Grove is just fine. But we had a concerning arrival. We did arrive late as we told the lady who took our reservation a 2 weeks prior and the website stayed open until 9 pm. We arrived at 8:45 pm. She answered the phone saying she didn’t have our reservation and that we must have made it somewhere else. But a after giving her multiple details she decided to get dressed and help us find a spot.
We were here on vacation and only spent two nights actually at camp sit the r eat out on neater on boat. Both mornings to be woken up by either a hammer or lawn mower before 7 am. It would have been night to sleep in on vacation.
So if your coming to fish and leaving early it’s perfect, small place and close to water.
We actually stayed here for a few months a while back. It would be a MUCH nicer place if the guy that runs it wasn't a complete jackass ! Other than that, the neighbors are friendly & it's very peaceful most of time. Oh, if he asks you to pay cash.. MAKE sure he doesn't pocket the money. He has pulled that with a few people the few months we stayed.
Very nice staff and neighbors I had no idea what I was doing and they all were happy to help she even brought me to the store while my car was in shop. Very peaceful. And their laundry room is not a shack its clean and has lots of books to read. It may not be like fancy parks but they keep it locked n safe. They also keep phone numbers for any help you will need while there. The dryer just gets really hot don't use the highest setting because it works fast. Thanks again for the great stay!
We stayed here for a month and it is such a beautiful park! The woman who manages the park is one of the sweetest ladies I have met. So helpful and so kind! She made the stay a whole lot better! It is a quick drive to the island and right down the road from a nice grocery store.
Enjoyed a beautiful evening with are new friends
