RV sites available with 50 & 30 amp power, septic and water. Monthly rates available April through October. Tent sites available also.
Panther Ridge is located at the end of Little Panthertail Road, just off Slick Fisher Road. To get there, take U.S. 64 east from Cashiers, or west from Brevard, NC. Travel to Lake Toxaway to Highway 281 NORTH (do not take 281 south at Sapphire). Follow 281 North almost a mile and a half to Slick Fisher Road which turns to the left not far from the Post Office. Follow Slick Fisher Road about a mile and a half to the entrance sign.
I stayed at Panther Ridge Campground in June 2018 the grounds are lovely and well kept. I enjoyed the company of the hosts Pam and Tony very friendly couple who care about their visitors and nature.
The campsites are very nice spacious, level, appointed with electric, water and connections for RV (black/grey water), and the surrounding woods are alive with bird songs, playful squirrels, the foliage is lush and beautiful.
The bathhouse is just right and they even have a washer and dryer.
There’s a short 10 minute trail walk through the woods that you can take to see a spectacular view of Lake Toxaway.
I completely enjoyed my 3 day stay there, very peaceful and restorative. I will absolutely be going back.
Nice family friendly campground on top of a mountain. Bathroom, shower, washer dryer. Would stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay very much so. Great views, lots of waterfalls near by and lots of great mountain riding. Not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway which is a beautiful ride. The owners are great. We will definitely go back!!
Omg! This campground is a hidden gem! Very, very nice owners, beautiful views of the blue ridge mountains, and trails to walk! There is a bathroom, shower and washer/dryer for your needs. Sewer, water, electric hookups. They have a family picnic area, complete with a beautiful fireplace.
This place is only a few minutes from Cashiers, and Brevard. Asheville is 1hr away, Charlotte 3.
The only (and I mean only) downfall is the road up to the campground. It is a hill, and gravel. You need a 4x4 to climb it. Fortunately the owners helped us make it up, and I'm so so gad they did.
If we ever want to see those beautiful blue ridge mtns again, we will book our spot at Panther Ridge!
We had a delightful stay here in our Class C RV. It is a small campground, accessed by a steep gravel road. Our site had beautiful views and full hook-ups. The sites are close together, but our neighbors were quiet and kept to themselves. Actually, the whole campground was very peaceful. There is no Wifi offered, and our Verizon cell signal was weak but serviceable. There is a small covered pavilion and a small bath house, although we did not enter either so can't speak to their condition. My husband and I found this to be a perfect place to get away from it all. Very neat and tidy. There are no playground, pool, trails, or other activity areas for kids.
