Great place to bike ride! The trail goes to Venice Beach. Although it is a 30 mile ride! 5 miles seemed to be an 'easy' ride. Especially when you need to bike back 5 miles :)
Not well maintained and probably the most run down of all the Florida state parks I've been to. Campsites share water hookups. Fine, if you are an even site, but you better have a 50-foot water hose for those odd sites. Sites are overgrown, and the restrooms are extremely old, with pipes screwed to the tiles. Great location near a couple of keys. Great local eateries and about 20 minutes drive from the Venice fishing pier.
See how Florida looked before people came when you visit this huge park and wild life preserve. 2 square miles of natural wilderness with miles of walking trails, bicycle, picnic, playground, parking, bathrooms, camping. Only $5 per car. This is a precious resource for us to enjoy and respect.
Oscar Shear State Park is a nature lover's paradise! 🌳🌲 Lots of different trails here – from easy strolls to bike rides, they've got it. Perfect for picnics and camping, too! ⛺🍔 Bring your family and your dog 🐶 for a day of outdoor adventure and make memories that will last a lifetime. Don't forget the bug spray and marshmallows for the campfire! 🔥🏞️
