This is one of my favorite parks to visit. This park is kept very clean and i have never seen it crowded. It's a great place to take dogs. There is a little creek that is great for rock hunting. This park has camp sites and picnic tables . The playground is very small but there is also a full baseball field. The park host couple seem really nice which i greatly appreciate.

We arrived late one night to camp. While we were setting up, a van passed us and drove through the trees next to the road going at least 20 mph. We continued to set up and they drove around the circle at unreasonable speeds at least 3 more times. We didn’t feel comfortable staying so went to a different place.

We were there almost alone! Great big sites, very inexpensive with water and electric. Super quiet with a nice creek and swimming hole next to it. Walk to Wolf Creek Inn for dinner. What made it great was the camp host Jim Miller. Very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Jim. You should train camp hosts everywhere!

This is a beautiful park and campground. Hardly anyone was there for the week and a half that I stayed. During the day young families (mostly) would use the day area which has a place to swim.

I felt mostly safe, however, there are some interesting folks that hang around the convenience store in town. Very uncomfortable to be around. I did not feel welcomed at all. However, the camp hosts are really nice. Also the Wolf Creek Tavern and Inn is worth visiting while in Wolf Creek.

Golden "ghost town" they say what's left of it friendly groundskeeper lady and son who are trying to preserve what is left across the stream the other half of town was taken down and between the city and them being state are trying to keep up on the trails being cut back for people who want to wake the trails by the wetlands it's a fun little stop for a break and a stretch of history recommend for a rest stop for there are porta potties away from everything that are kept up on and not like other rest areas!
