This 24-site campground is conveniently located adjacent to Oregon State Highway 58 in an old growth forest alongside Salt Creek. Fishing and swimming are popular activities. A large picnic area along the creek offers picnic tables, a large grassy area for both passive and active recreation. One-half mile east of the campground on Highway 58 is the McCredie Day Use Area & Hot Springs. The site was formally developed as a hot springs resort historically; currently the hot springs area is unimproved. Caution should be exercised when using the hot springs, water temperature is very high in the pools. No reservations. Sites are available on a first come, first served basis.
Approximately nine miles east of Oakridge, directly along Oregon State Highway 58.

They are still closed. I got a few shots of the maps and info. Posted outside.
Beautiful area lots of info on trails and camping and day use areas nearby..closed due to covid-19 tho..sad
No forest service road maps provided. Although they were helpful in showing which roads were closed during fire season
An excellent resource, staffed with friendly and competent people. Calling ahead to get up-to-date information about forest/facility conditions is a good idea before embarking on an adventure.
We stopped by here for our kids to collect their National Forest Jr. Ranger badge July 11, 2022. Staff said that they just opened 2 weeks ago. Very friendly, wonderful, and kind staff. They had to really look for the badges. Our 15 yo wanted to get one too and had to take the pledge. Lol. The pledge was actually quite long with big words for an 8yo but she did surprisingly better than her older sister.
