Beautiful, quiet campground. Fire pits and shade for lazy camping and relaxing. Close to river activities and other recreational sites. Restrooms available and open. Bring hand sanitizer, wipes and toilet paper. Firewood available for $5 an armload. Camping fee $20 for the first night then $15 each night after. Pets allowed. I counted 23 campsites in total. There is handicap parking and a shelter great for group activities and large family gatherings. Potable water available, but not clearly marked. Bring your own drinking water or filtration system.
Stayed two nights during a recent road trip. Had the whole place to ourselves. One pit toilet was nasty, two others were very clean and tidy. After about 6pm, virtually no cars on hwy 19, so no road noise. Excellent stargazing! Lots of local deer and turkeys. Level spots with little to no trash. And nice clean water. Dog friendly, with a big lawn for some playtime. Highly recommend this spot, but please help keep it clean and quiet!
just the best. I love it here. The town of Spray is right down the road. There's a nice swimming hole there.
