Beachside State Recreation Site is 3 miles south of Waldport and 5 miles north of Yachats on the west side of Highway 101.
Oregon State Parks, Beachside Campground, 3 miles south of Waldport, is Our Favorite spot to camp on The Beautiful Oregon Coast. Very close to the Beach and The Ocean.
My best State campground experience ever! Clean bathrooms, hot water for showers, and courteous staff AND fellow campers and their dogs. Being in a campground, we even got to have a small nightly campfire. All just a few steps from our beautiful Oregon beach. Hope to return soon.
This was our second year in the same spot. Immediate access to the beach, bathrooms were clean, showers could use some maintenance but overall a really great place to relax. We had a spot on the beach away from most other campers so our site was nice and quiet compared to others we had passed on our way to restrooms.
The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the noise from the road. This is a beautiful park but some of the sites experience a lot of rad noise. The hosts are great, bathrooms are clean, showers are nice with hot water! If you are lucky enough to be on the inside or in a trailer rather than a tent, you won't notice the noise. The beach is lovely here, especially at low tide. They have lots of walk in spaceman space for hikers and bikers too.
Absolutely the best camping experience. I camped as a child with entire family on State Parks in Carlsbad, California. This State Park reminds me of my childhood and is way more clean. The Rangers here are so friendly and helpful. You can see the Ocean from certain campsites. They have 40' campsites with full hookups 30amp, extra vehicle parking. Handicap campsites near the bathroom and showers. Bathrooms are super clean tons of hot water for showers. I went in August 2023 I'll be going back in September. This Park is a Satellite park of a main park in Newport. This Park closes for winter the end of October. When I go back I'll check the altimeter for elevation my guess is 10 feet above sea level. Dogs are allowed on leash. I love this place and will always return.
