Amazing place. There is an easy hiking path to get to a giant redwood. Views are around are incredible. So green and so dramatic, worth a trip from the cities.
Easy access to the beach, great view. the parking lot is really small. You can drive to the mountain in front and get a great view
It can get windy here. It is a recreational fee site. Easy walk to the stone house with a beautiful view. We were fortunate enough to see a whale turning, blowing and feeding right by the first bench as soon as we left the parking lot! Awesome!
This is perhaps the best spot in the surrounding area for pictures and hiking simply because it offers several sights of very high quality, I spent most of my time admiring the tide pools (the best I've seen and I've visited 3 so far) which had tadpoles, frogs, tiny crabs, and lots of anemone.
The visitor center is modern and has lots of information on the attractions, and the restrooms are clean and spacious.
It is beautiful! The trails are very narrow, I took 2 dogs and while it is dog friendly… it wasn’t easy for us… the narrow trails make it hard to get around. Worth a look for sure… just if you’re looking for a fun dog friendly hike it’s not as easy as I’d hoped.
