Our hosts Heath and Shannon were more than wonderful. If you’re even remotely close to here please find a way to stay here. Heath and Shannon gave us a fantastic tour of their property, showing us their beautiful animals (including babies! And kissing llamas!) this is an unexpected treat on your travels.
We enjoyed farm fresh eggs and home made coffee creamer! The communal room with a kitchen, living room, tv, bathrooms, and showers exceeded our expectations. They thought of everything at this place!!
Nice place. Not your ordinary airbnb. If you don't mind the extra drive back towards Custer, etc., good place to stay. About 20 mi Southeast of Custer. Quite a few, cool farm animals and their dogs, Lucy and Shadow were very friendly. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, as well.
Heath and Shannon were an absolute delight. They were the most accommodating hosts I have ever had and spent so much time showing us around the farm. The llamas, Mr. T and Sarge, were standouts and gave us lots of kisses! It is really clear how much Heath and Shannon care about their animals, farm, and guests. It was the highlight of our stay and such an unexpected gem. The common space was well equipped and had so many more amenities than we needed! I would absolutely recommend a stay for anyone passing through South Dakota!
We had the BEST experience staying the night on Heath & Shannon’s property and already hope to come back soon! They are the kindest, most thoughtful hosts. In addition to the lovely and plentiful amenities (and farm fresh goodies!), we got the chance to meet their animals and hear a bit about their lives on the farm. Definitely the highlight of our trip through the Dakotas — 10/10 recommend staying here to anyone lucky enough to be visiting the nearby area!
This is a beautiful campground. The setting is amazing. We were greeted by deer alongside the road as we drove in. Heath and Shannon were awesome in introducing our kids to the animals, including showing how the goats were fed and milked. Each night, my wife and I were able to check out the stars in the clear, dark skies above. We also slept soundly in our quiet surroundings. The campsites have plenty of space with room to spare for our 29' travel trailer. The showers in the shared guest house were extremely clean and well appointed with fresh towels. We also appreciated the availability of toiletries that may have been forgotten, to save a 45 minute round-trip to the nearest store. The quick drives to Custer State Park and Wind Cave National park make the location fantastic as well. We highly recommend staying here!
