Located outside of Hermosa, South Dakota, Battle Creek Camping Resort is open year round. We provide fully stocked unique camping options with Domes and glamping tents to pick from. Currently, all of our RV sites are boondocks option only, while under construction. Pull-through and back-up sites are 100 ft pads.
We have fun and unique bathhouses with full showers and restrooms.
**The Camping Resort**
Nestled on 80 acres in the Hermosa Foot Hills, Battle Creek Camping Resort provides a serene experience surrounded by wildlife and minutes to the Black Hills.
Check In: Check in time is 4:00-9:00pm MST. Reservation is held until 7:00am MST, the following morning, then you will be considered a no-show and at this time the reservation will be canceled and re-opened for another guest and no refund of any kind will be given. \*Please call if planning to arrive later than 9pm MST. Please note that quiet hours are from 9pm-7am MST every day.
Check Out: Please do not leave us, but if you must go, please check out by 11:00am MST.

We may have been the only ones there (in the fact we came through early season), but the sites are huge, nice picnic tables, bath houses, AND DOG FRIENDLY!

This was a beautiful, spotless, luxurious camping resort! We stayed in the domes, and will stay there every time we come back to the area. The host family is very kind and hospitable. The bath houses are pristine and have private toilets and showers. I can’t say enough good things about Battle Creek!
Perfect accommodations for a family visiting the Black Hills. As a family of five we were thrilled to fit so comfortably in the largest glamping dome, the Ponderosa. We were so comfortable in our dome with its cozy decor and bedding, plus plenty of games and puzzles for entertainment. The restrooms were gorgeous with plenty of hot water, way nicer than I’ve ever seen at any other campground. We loved taking in the starry views at night and exploring the historical landmarks nearby like Custer State Park and Deadwood during the day! I have and would recommend it over and over!

Battle Creek Camping Resort is such a gem of a place. If you are looking for a relaxing stay to disconnect for the outside world THIS IS IT!
Our stay was BEAUTIFUL and CLEAN! There were amazing bathroom/shower accommodations just a short walk away. A huge added plus is that this stay was completely dog friendly.
We stayed in the wonderful Elkview Lodge. It was the perfect cozy size along with outdoor seating and a firepit.
I also told Battle Creek that we were visiting for my husband's birthday so they left us a little care package with wine, smores kit and some additional snacks.
Thoughtfully curated, hidden gem, and amazing service are things that come to mind when I think of this place.
If we are ever in the area again, we WILL be back.

Battle Creek Camping Resort & Wedding Venue was the perfect place for our wedding this weekend! We stayed 2 nights, and there was plenty of space for family to stay the night of the wedding.
Jason & Zena went above and beyond to help us! From set up to tear down, to helping with everything at the wedding. They accommodated us and were super supportive the whole event! They are truly amazing people!
The domes and tents are beautiful to stay in! They each had a AC unit it in them and the bathrooms with showers are great!
I would recommend Battle Creek for any events you are planning or a beautiful night to stay in the hills!
