This popular area is a mix of forest and midgrass prairie on the eastern foothills of the Black Hills, adjacent to Sturgis, South Dakota, in Meade County.
So beautiful! We only drove past in a bus leaving from Deadwood but what we did see was truly a pleasure. Will definitely return to visit the entire park in the future.
Pretty area with lots of history and couple cool hiking trails. The centennial trail goes through this area. During fall when the leaves are changing color, this is a very pretty area.
