My family stayed over memorial weekend and everything about this place was amazing. Great location, price, but most of all the new owner(Shane) was on top of it. Anything we needed he responded promptly. Communication and customer service was on point 👌! Thank you Shane for a great experience, we had an awesome weekend!
First off the location leaves a lot to be desired. All of the cabins are located a few blocks off main street which may be convenient for food or shopping but this convenience comes at the cost of the cabins being smashed in between hill city housing. Don't be fooled, these cabins are by no means secluded in the woods. They are lined up like any other residential housing but with a run down cabin paint job. Secondly the interiors of these cabins leaves a lot to be desired. (My stay was in cabin number 6) The pictures online make the cabin look very spacious and livable when in contrast, free space in the cabin was rare and appliances are smaller to fit in the small space. For instance I am 5ft 9in and the sink rose to my waist, the toilet was too small to comfortably sit on and the fridge didn't hold much food. Furthermore upon arrival the cabin was dirty, it was evident that it had not been thoroughly cleaned. This was mostly presented in the fact that both sinks were clogged upon arrival. If you still feel compelled to stay here I recommend that you get a cabin that may seem too big for the amount of people you're traveling with because these cabins are small, dirty and depressing.
We were in Cabin #5 and spent four very comfortable days in Hill City. Shaun was a most accommodating host. The cabin contained everything we could possibly need. The patio area behind the cabins was perfect, lots of tables and chairs, as well as a fire pit area. The location was perfect, within walking distance to Main Street which had lots of restaurants and shops. Several times we watched deer on the hillside, in the yards, and even walking down the street. A very peaceful location. Thank you Shaun, we love your cabins.
