Glencoe is an 'ALL IN ONE' sprawling camping resort complete with two expansive RV parks, a shaded tent camping area, a motorcycle-only camping area, and plenty of amenities to heighten your Glencoe experience. Find your way easily to and from your campsite, as well as around the Pavilion, Beaches, and Alley Central, where you'll find bars, BBQ areas, music, vendors, showers, dining, and much more.
It needs some updating in the restroom and showers .
Understand it's not the Ritz but the toilets that are not bolted to the floor solid are interesting
Greatest campground for the Sturgis Biker Rally.
Open 14 days for the Sturgis Biker Rally & flat rate for any days in-between, overnight or the whole 14 days.
The other camp grounds are around $150 per night.
At 1400 acres, I think Glencoe is the largest Sturgis Biker Rally campground available.
I went to the Sturgis Biker Rally 10 times & all at the Glencoe CampResort Campground.
Lots of trees, lots of shade.
Bear Butte Creek goes thru it & you can get wet & on rainy years, swim in it which is great for super hot days.
Free rock concerts at the Pavilion, too.
Ice, beer & munchies at the Kick Start gas station at the beginning of Glencoe Drive right when you turn in.
Hot showers. One near the main gate & other at the east end of Naked Alley w/concession stand/picnic table area nearby.
83rd Sturgis Rally - Glencoe Campground and the Glencoe Staff are amazing.
We just left Glencoe Campground after an 8 day stay in a Park Model trailer.
Park Model trailers: A little about the Park Model trailers, they are nothing fancy, but they are very clean, the AC works incredibly well and there is never a shortage of hot water. It came furnished with towels, all bedding, a bag of ice and a case of water in the fridge. Suggestion to the owner, update your Website with some additional photos of your facilities (Park Model Trailers, cabins and other facilities).
Location: Very easy to get to and just a few minutes' drive to downtown Sturgis and all the events. Also close to other major Campgrounds: Buffalo Chip - 2 miles, and Full Throttle Saloon (on same road as the Full throttle as nothing is really close to the Full Throttle...)
Staff: This is the best part of the Campground, the staff!!!! Everyone is amazing, attentive and friendly! From the moment we checked in at the front gate to the moment we checked out, every employee at the campground was absolutely amazing! We just want to call out a few by name: Ms. Patty who seems to do a little of everything, specialty is making the best Bloody Marry at the breakfast buffet bar! Waitress Tori, who seems to work every shift, breakfast, lunch and dinner; she gets every order right, checks up on you constantly and is always in a great mood. Great bartenders at the Pavilion: Jeanie seems to always show just as you are thinking of ordering your next beverage. Abby is the absolute "Best Bartender" in all of Sturgis (and we hit every bar and campground in the area across 2 weeks); you never wait for a drink when Abby is behind the bar, and she is always there to provide a joke or some "sassiness!" The security team at the Pavilion and at the gates...great group of guys. We could not be more impressed with the staff...they are AMAZING!!!!!
Overall, this place was better than expected. Next Sturgis Rally trip, Glencoe will be our choice!
I have stayed here the last five out of six Sturgis bike rally’s.. it is incredibly expensive for the lackluster services they provide you will be hard-pressed to find a warm shower. They’ve had years to fix the culverts at the river crossings. You can barely cross the river with a pickup truck. Other places continue to make improvements during the off-season. I have not seen any reinvestment by the Glencoe staff over the last two years.
This place sucks. It was loud until 4am on the alley. Also we went to the breakfast buffet and they wanted $3 more for a glass of OJ or milk. Cant ya throw the drink in with the buffet? The showers were dirty and unkept. And all the toilets worked when we got there Thursday the 3rd but as time went on more toilets out of service. Listen people....THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FLUSHABLE WIPE!. We will stay else wear next time we go.
