We absolutely loved this family owned and operated campground. They made home made strawberry ice cream for everyone in the campground. They had a scavenger hunt for the kids. The campground was exactly what we were looking for, smaller campground with roomy sites. Didn't feel like a sardine in can like we've had at other campgrounds. The owners were fantastic, the friendliest people I've met in long time. They were just like everyone said in previous reviews. We literally felt like we stay at a friend's property. New electrical on sites. Lakes right down the street. We we're even able to find morels on the property. We will definitely be returning for another visit. Thank you guys for such a wonderful visit. See you soon

The family that runs this is very nice. They really made us feel welcome. We got in really late and had to set up the tent in the dark. They came over to make sure we hadn't had any problems setting up. That definitely wasn't necessary, but it was appreciated that they cared. We will definitely be staying here again when we come this way in the future. The grounds itself are very nice and clean.

This campground is the cleanest, most organized campground I've been to! I was especially impressed by all that the campground has to offer such as many games, a stocked camp store, and even a dish washing station. It was clear that the owners put a lot of thought and care into the place. They go above and beyond with their service and open communication.

I only spent one night there, but they were kind enough to let me reserve a campsite despite the campground not being open yet for the season. I'm looking forward to returning for a longer stay sometime soon!

We were there Monday through Thursday so it wasn't very busy. The owners are super nice and helpful. There are many trees in the campground. There are around 60 sites and four cabins. Each cabin has an easy up canopy over the picnic table. All sites have picnic tables and a fire pit. The picnic tables are in good shape. The campground is really clean. There is a lake across the road with a swimming area. I would suggest walking to the lake as opposed to driving as there isn't a lot of parking areas. There are many really nice rustic sites for tenting. There is a very nice dish washing area near the restrooms for the rustic sites. There is a small store with some essentials. There is a nice older store about a mile away. They have washers and dryers which are fairly new. There is WiFi that works quite well throughout the campground. There is a nice pavilion with lights and picnic tables. There is a really nice loop walk. On the loop walk there is a scavenger hunt that should be great for kids. They have to find 12 different animals on the walk. It is an easy trail to walk and marked well. There is a playground for the kids. They also have badminton, horseshoes and corn hole. The only thing that I wished were different was the bathrooms. They were definitely sufficient but could use a few updates. They could use a bench area in each shower area, more hooks for hanging towels and clothes on and some sort of bath mat in the shower. The restrooms were clean and well stocked.

If you tent this is perfect for you. I would recommend this campground. It's somewhat small family run campground with super friendly owners.

I didn't know that skinks were native to Michigan. But we were lucky enough to see one at the campground and get a picture! I guess that at 66 years old you can still learn new things!
