This campground was one of the nicest campgrounds I've been to in my many years of camping. The sites are larger than normal. The restrooms and portajon were exceptionally clean! The staff was very friendly and took care of any needs that we had. I highly recommend staying here, the atmosphere was peaceful, and permanent campsite/campers were very nice and friendly as well. Definitely will be returning to Northern Nights!
We had a grad party to attend in the area and normally camp at state parks and being that it was Father's Day weekend we expected the campground to be loud and crowded. We were WRONG. The entire weekend was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The 22 acre wooded area with trails behind the campground was an added bonus. The office was not staffed most of our stay but that did not pose a problem as the owner was readily available by phone or text our entire stay and even stopped by to chat z couple times. We would definitely stay here again if in the area and would recommend this park.
This is our favorite campground! The owner is great and makes sure your stay is wonderful! Minutes from Higgins Lake South Park, but in a quiet and peaceful campground. Couldn’t ask for a better camping experience!
My family and I had our first camping experience here (PUP and RV) in June 2023, so we had a few hiccups in setting up. The owner was so kind and brought us an extension cord late the first night. He was responsive to my multiple texts/questions...never losing patience. The site was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. Highly recommended. We will be returning.
I stayed here mid October and had such a wonderful experience. It was raining when I arrived and needed help unloading my motorcycle from my rig. Host didn’t hesitate to assist even in the conditions. Campground was quiet and well maintained! Wonderful location tucked away from all the noise!
