Easy to get to, most of the trails leading up to it aren’t too bad (March 2022). It a lot more scenic than a lot of the surrounding mountains. It’s a different kind of beauty.
The Wilderness boundary is not clearly marked in a lot of places at least in the ones I saw. But there is a large sign about 1/4 mile from the boundary.
Very rocky and lots of cacti so long pants and good shoes are a must. Not a great place to go for inexperienced hikers in my opinion. I didn’t have much service if any most of the time and I have Verizon. You can use the AllTrails app to download an offline map that’s pretty handy for navigation. Food and water are a must. It is easy to terrain associate if you are just trying to wander but be careful lol.
