From Richmond: Take I-64 to W Pont Exit. Take Rte 33 E to Glenns. At the light, cross Hwy 17, cont on to Matthews Co & follow the directions below. From WA: Take I-64 to W Pont Exit. Take I95 to Fredericksburg, Exit Rte 17 S. Cont on 17 S to Glenns. Turn L on 198 at Glenns, con to Matthews & follow the directions below. Now that you are in Matthews Co: At the Matthews Court House, take Rte 14 E for 7 mi. Turn L on Sand Bank Rd, (Rte 602) and follow approx 1 mi until you see our sign.
My family and I absolutely LOVE this campground! The staff is amazing to work with, and as polite as they can be! Good customer service is hard to find these days so when I see it I say something!
All of the bath houses are super clean!
I came here two years ago and never left. From the very beginning the staff was welcoming and accommodating. No request for assistance was ever resisted or denied. Then there are the campers themselves. The park is about six hundred yards from end to end but you can’t traverse it in less than an hour. Every third camper or so someone stops you for conversation or to offer some of what’s on the grill or a cool beverage. The park is very clean and speed bumps keep the golf cart speeds to respectable level. Rangers patrol the park through the late evening to ensure that the is no mischief. The kids parks (2) are well maintained and there is a sense of safety for the little ones. I look forward to my third year.
New point RV Resort is one of my favorite places on earth. We went over 4th of July and just fell in love with the place. The staff is amazing, the beach is gorgeous, the food truck is awesome. I was unsure what to think about all the seasonal people, but they welcomed me and my wife in and we never left. Michelle and Mikkel are the best! Oh by the way, Go Ms. Judy, you are so helpful and seem to get things accomplished.
2021 was our first season at New Point and was very memorable. The management and staff were awesome. We enjoyed meeting all the campers and made some life long friends. The park is exceptionally clean, the beach is amazing and the entertainment is always a blast. Looking forward to 2022. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
This used to be our favorite RV resort, but unfortunate Sun ruined that with making it all seasonal. We came once a year for years. We haven't been able to come back now because we don't want to pay almost $5000 for seasonal. This company got greedy!! Thanks for destroying a good thing.
