South of Colorado border and east of Lagunitas within Carson National Forest. Access is via forest roads 87 and 87A
This is nice little cozy wilderness area. It’s not crowded except during hunting season. It’s gorgeous and wide-open but doesn’t feature any prominent or significant sights. There is a lot of wildlife and the small streams are packed with native brookies. Great place for a relaxing and private weekend camping trip.
