B E W A R E campground closes and locks the gates at "dusk." We arrived after dark and could not get in. Unfortunately, it does not state the open hours of the campground on the gov website when you book or in the confirmation email like other campgrounds do.

We were able to camp down the road in overflow camping.

I prefer dispersed camping, but this was alright for an overnight stay. Quiet for the most part…until the camper near by kicked their generator on from 9:30-10pm. Clean, well kept and nice walk to the trail head. Not suitable for tents, but nice if you have a camper or are car camping.
