My great grandparents had a cabin here in the 20's, 30's, 40's until the fire swept through and burned everything whenever that was...i was there in the 80's with my grandparents and mom and they were able to locate where the cabin was...the fireplace was still standing then
This year will be 40 years of camping at Myles Standish it is a huge part of my childhood and now a tradition with my children! I’ve tried other places but they are no Myles Standish and I will continue to stay loyal until the day I can’t camp no more! The best place in my eyes! It’s my happy place!!
I love camping here with family and friends. I've been coming here for 3 years now. We fish, kayak, canoe, swim in the pond, water is clear in the back side of the pond.
Great place to camp if you don’t care about electricity and walking a a few feet to get your water. Bike paths are awesome and the swimming is great. Very secluded and private. The park ranger guys literally drive by every 15 minutes to check on the campground. Safe and bathrooms/showers are pretty good, no complaints especially for a state park. Price is right and place is awesome.
