Our wedding at Mountain View Manor was spectacular!! MVM is an old, beautifully restored mansion with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony space, old-fashioned reception room, and stunning views… And it even has guests rooms on the second floor for family and friends to stay. Throughout the entire planning process, we dealt exclusively with Tim. Since I live on Long Island and the venue is about 3 hours away from me, we did most of our communicating through email and by phone. Tim was very responsive and always got back to me with answers to my questions very quickly, often in the same day. I had made several suggestions / requests in the months leading up to my wedding, and Tim was receptive to all of them and he made sure that everything was absolutely perfect for me and my guests. In addition to handling the business end of things, Tim is also the chef! He promised large portion sizes of high quality gourmet meals for our guests, and when the wedding weekend came, that is exactly what he prepared.
We chose to turn our wedding into a weekend long celebration. On Friday night, we held a buffet dinner for our closest family members that were sleeping at the mansion with us for the weekend. After dinner, MVM put out additional appetizers and snacks and we had the rest of our guests join us for a “Welcome Gathering.” It was so much fun! Saturday was our actual wedding. As Tim promised, the day went very smoothly. His staff handled everything for us and we didn’t have to think about a thing! The meals provided were out of this world. Everything was fresh, delicious, and, as promised, the portions were huge! On Sunday morning, we hosted a brunch for our family. Tim prepared this as well, and it was the perfect way to wrap up the best weekend of our lives.
Our wedding would not have been complete without our key vendors, who we hired based off of Tim’s recommendations. DJ Ralph, who was wonderful and allowed us to customize our entire playlist. Ellie from Elliegant Cakes made us a mouthwatering wedding day breakfast as well as the most amazing wedding cake! And Sue from Floral Cottage Weddings blew us away with her gorgeous arrangements!
Overall, our wedding at MVM was better than we ever could have imagined. Friends of ours have even said that it is by far the best wedding they have ever been to. Tim helped us plan out three major events and everything was wonderful. He made sure to offer varied menu options throughout the weekend so that our guests weren’t getting repeat dishes, he customized everything to meet our needs, and he even lightheartedly told me that he wasn’t going to cook for me if I wouldn’t smile, as he could see I was getting nervous. Our advice to future couples is to follow Tim’s input and don’t worry about a thing - he won’t steer you wrong and you will not be disappointed with what he delivers!

We had our ceremony and wedding here on September 4, 2021 and it was absolutely perfect - beyond what we could have hoped for. Tim made the whole process of planning seamless. The manor house and grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. The food is excellent. We loved everything and enjoyed every minute! We had our ceremony in the beautiful courtyard and our reception (less than 100 people) in the dining room in the manor. Everything looked perfect and flowed seamlessly. I can’t say enough about our absolutely perfect experience. Tim is the best! Also we highly recommend Sue from Floral Cottage for flowers - she is familiar with the space and did an amazing job. Excellent value for the cost!
We got married at MountainView Manor on Friday (7/23) and to say it was perfect would be an understatement! If you are planning a wedding and looking for venues stop what you are doing and take a look at MVM Immediately!
MVM is a beautiful historic venue with so much character and charm. Not to mention the prices are unbeatable! This venue and staff gave me a day beyond my dreams!
Tim’s professionalism and expertise was incredibly helpful! I have spent the past 24 hours receiving compliments about how smooth the day went and how wonderful the food was. Tim was accommodating throughout Covid and the entire wedding planning process. His advice helped us to plan the perfect day. The entire staff (especially Tim and Josh) at MVM was so kind to my husband and I, our families and our friends. Everyone felt so welcomed and taken care of. They make you feel like you are a part of their family! Staying at the venue was a blast! The rooms are gorgeous and all of our overnight guests had a wonderful stay.
Tim’s advice on vendors could not have been better. Booking his recommended vendors worked out perfectly.
DJ- Ralph played the best music and had everyone dancing! He is everything you would want in a DJ and more. The music was so on point and every guest was out there on the dance floor at one point or another. Ralph will make sure that your guests have fun!
Photographer - Carroll was amazing! She makes you feel as though you have known her forever! She is so helpful and captured such wonderful shots! I hate how I look in pictures and I’m obsessed with everyone one of our photos! Not to mention she is the fastest worker I’ve ever met. You will have more than a photographer with Carroll. You will have an all night wingwoman!
Flowers - Susan from Floral Cottage. I mean wow! The floral arrangements she made were outstanding! I received so many compliments. I had to put pictures because they were impossible to describe in just words. Susan even went out of her way to
Make sure that my family members all had something special, including my sister who is in a wheelchair.
Deserts - Ellie Wolfe - we had the craziest desert spread all created by Ellie. Everything tasted perfect and our naked cake vision was more than met! All
Of our leftovers were packaged up and I cannot wait to spend my next few days eating everything.
From the vendors working so well with the MVM staff our wedding felt too good to be true. I still cannot believe it. I hear horror stories of brides hating their wedding day. The Staff and vendors at MVM will make it their number one priority to ensure that you have the best day of your life and that the guests are happy.
Seriously, searching engaged couples, run don’t walk to MVM. You will not be disappointed!
Everything from start to finish was absolutely PERFECT! We can’t thank Tim and his team enough for their attention to every detail, their amazing personalities and their ability to put on a full weekend wedding without one issue. Every time I think about it, I cry tears of joy. Our day was so special and we are so thankful for these incredible people and this amazing place in the mountains. We LOVE MVM!
We just got married at Mountain View last week (Sunday August 8) and we had the most amazing wedding. We live overseas and our wedding was cancelled due to Covid. After a long wait, we realized it was easier to have the wedding in NY where I am originally from, then to get everyone overseas to us. I did some searching and stumbled upon Mountain View and planned a wedding in 3 months from overseas. Everything turned out absolutely amazing. Tim was so responsive and helpful, the food was amazing, the staff was so nice, and everything was just perfect. The venue was beautiful. I thought the whole wedding (45 people) might feel small but the venue was the perfect size and gave the feel of one big family event. We also rented out all 8 guest rooms in the mansion for our close friends and family to spend the night. That was a nice touch to be able to enjoy the party and not worry about getting home, we all got to sleep on the property and enjoy breakfast together in the morning before saying goodbye. We couldn't have imagined a better day/wedding and we highly recommend Mountain View!
