Great setting. The slide itself is almost guaranteed to give you a rock rash or worse so use utmost caution if you must attempt.
I'm handicapped,so being able to get to a good spot to enjoy the outdoors isn't easy for me...I certainly appreciate the opportunity to get into the woods and enjoy it with family...The Bearslides is an amazing place to do that...
Best times camping as a teen. I loved this place. It was like a second home durning the summertime.
Great little “walk” in the woods. The face of the slides offers if you’re daring enough (during the warmer months) to catch the current from the top to the bottom. Or in the colder months instead of the current it’s ice maybe some snow. Bring a snow sled but be prepared to steer your way otherwise you’ll hit the rocks. If you continue further up the trail you’ll find some other small wading pools to cool off in. There’s a picnic table at the base as it’s carry in carry out. Also there are some spots available for overnight camping as well. Again it’s carry in carry out. For more information Google. It’s a must otherwise you’ll be paying a fine.
The bear slides is such a cool place. It’s absolutely beautiful. I love going every summer
