This is a spotless campground. The host is taking care of this place better than any other campground I've ever been to. The bathrooms even smell fine. Toilet paper always neatly tucked and stocked. Extraordinary camping experience. I will come back. I feel lucky I found this place and got a spot.

If you are backpacking thru you may want to save your money. They charge the same if you are car camping. Unless you want a for sure water source and a decent place to put your tent. The pit toilet for the tent campers were clean. Camp ground area was clean and quiet. Talked to the hosts briefly and seemed helpful and friendly. The area seems well suited for car camping and trailers. May go back if doing either, but probably stop at a free site before reaching the camp ground.

It's very quiet here and there's really nothing to do but if you love to star gaze then this is a great place to do it. Camp sites are very clean and they have nice tent camping pads and patios with fire pits. No water close by and no hook ups and if you're not use to the high elevation it can take a toll on your body. We had a good time but will definitely have to bring board games next time .

This is a great small campground with quick access to the Mount Rose trailhead and a short drive to Lake Tahoe. Many other hikes, swimming, or other outdoor options nearby too. There are a variety of sizes of campsites allowing for small or large groups, for both tent and RV camping. The picnic tables and campfire pits are good quality, and some sites have cement pads around the fire pit. There are bear boxes for food at each site too. There are no showers but the bathrooms are well maintained and always stocked with TP. The camp host was kind and welcoming. I will definitely return again! 5 star!

I camped at Mt Rose Campgrounds for the first time late August 2022. The campgrounds are spacious and very well maintained, and they are located in a beautiful area. When I arrived I was greeted by the most friendly and helpful campground host I've ever met. Andrew drove me around the grounds so that I could see what was available. I stayed several times over the course of fall 2022 and was glad to have Andrew and Ashley, who both exemplify the meaning of "host"! I hope they are doing well and that I see them again in the Fall of 2023! - James
