I had booked a campsite and paid for it. Check in was nice. We felt like we had the whole campsite to ourselves. We noticed a couple camping by the bathroom. I think they were on drugs and living in their car because they screamed all night. At 6am a cop was banging on our trailer door. He confirmed our campsite, but acted rude and said we needed to put the sticker in our car higher in our window. Then he drove down and took care of the couple. Everything was nice till that cop came around. He had a paper with who paid and who didn't so it was kind of rude and left a nasty taste in my mouth.
Nice quiet place to camp and fish. I was surprised at how huge the reservoir was. We took our bikes to ride around. It's very kid friendly and also a great place for kayaking, canoeing and swimming. We took our 10ft inflatable boat with trolling motor but gas boats are also allowed. Lots of cool little islands in the middle to explore. Camping has options for primitive first come first served or also plenty of water & electric and even full hook up sites with sewer. Three bay dump station on site too.
Get here early it starts to get packed. Not to bad of a water facility lots of amenities. Fishing, boating, grilling stations, and camp areas. The bugs get pretty bad at night and unfortunately the place gets dirty quick from people leaving their junk behind. Over all still a good experience with friends.
