Stayed in rustic campground and was pleased with the spacious campsite and privacy. Campers here did not stay long. Had place virtually to ourselves. The trek to the showers is about ten minutes and the showers are new and plenty with about 7 showers. Lakes in the park to fish. My favorite State Park to stay.

As always great fall color even when they they vary from year to year, there was a lot of green trees still out there, some had reached peak and others hadn't even started. Still a great hike and drive, always worth the trip

Maplewood State Park is gorgeous! It is very clean with plenty of excellent hiking trails and views. The entrance fee is minimal and you can really spend hours just getting “lost” in the splendor and beauty of it all. I would especially recommend visiting during the fall.
