From jct US 12 & Hwy 7: Go 3 mi N on Hwy 7.
The owner of the place we rented was cool he came and chatted with us about fishing and stuff.
Map was terribly misleading and not updated. Pool deck was gross, slimy from not cleaning up the cotton. The camping spots we were put in were so tight we couldn't even use the fire pit. Not to mention the two women who work there, one being the owner screamed at me across the campsite area to clean up after my dog when she peed. Definitely not pet friendly. You would think with the 3 pages of rules the campground would be amazingly clean, Definitely not the case. Landing and dock area was also disgusting. Oh, but if you want an overpriced cabin in a parking lot that looks out over the busy highway, this is your place!
This is an ideal place to visit on Big Stone Lake. Friendly staff & owners that make you feel like family during each and every visit. Be sure to make this resort a priority in your area visits & travels!
I'm new to the RV World. This would be my first time at an actual RV campground. Everything has been a learn as you go thing. Not the best approach. On short notice they were able to line me up with a spot. A nice level spot that I would not get to use. When I pulled in to the campgrounds I stopped and shut off my RV at what I thought was the office but it was not. Being that it was in the 96 degree area and a long day all I wanted was to feel the AC, a shower and a pillow. My camper would not start. The owner and his son were able to find the problem. I needed a new starter. Luckily where it died, my power cord was long enough to reach the power source. So, here I am enjoying the cool ac right now as I'm writing this without worries even because they have offered to help me find and pick up a starter in the morning. Finding people that will go to them lengths to help you is a rarity. I should also tell you that this place is well maintained with lots of amenities. Hat's off to the Lakeshore RV Park owners. Thank you for everything.
This is seasonal RV park that also has hook ups for short-term camping along the lake. We can look out our camper window and see the lake. There is an arcade, public bathrooms and showers, mini golf, heated pool, hot tub, excellent wi-fi, a landing for boats, and more! Pets are welcomed and like any place else they need to be leashed and cleaned up after. We watched the 4th of July fireworks from the docks. There were several places along the South Dakota side of the lake that were shooting them off. The owners/ staff are super friendly and accommodating. I recommend this campground for fisherman (perch and walleye are being caught by the fisherman in our group) and families with kids of all ages.
