First time visiting this park today. The ever so changing terrain was a challenge but we made it! Beautiful views.

Restrooms were marked. Hiking trail was marked very well. Eagle Point View was amazing!

Awesome Park!

Another great visit to this beautiful State Park. Lots to see along with beautiful views of Lake Pepin and lots of paved trails to walk on. The trails along the bluff were closed due to recent melting snow but we had a great visit. Lots to do here including hiking, camping and exploring! Love this park!

Frontenac state park campground is in a beautiful and stunning state park. The price to stay there is cheap and it has great amenities. The bathrooms are brand new, very modern, and very clean. That’s something I’m very picky about and I was pleased. There’s wells for drinking water, sinks to wash dishes, and shower bathrooms as well. The sites themselves are pretty roomy and you have a good amount of privacy from your neighbors. They are probably the most private sites I’ve stayed at before. The layout of the park and campground is also well planned and easy to navigate. The drive up to the campground is very scenic and there are many places to hike. The office is very nice and staff is super friendly. The hours are different every day so you have to check online when you go to check in or buy firewood, ice, etc. The prices in the office are also pretty good. It’s also close to many towns and small cities as well as an hour drive from Minneapolis so there’s tons to see. There’s Frontenac, Old Frontenac, Florence Township, Lake City, Winona, and Red Wing to explore close by. I would definitely recommend this park and I would absolutely go back!

Love it! Great views, nice trails! Leaf covered and damp on the lower trail, but very fee people on during the day on a Friday. Get a state park pass and enjoy this beautiful state!

Beautiful park. Beautiful, somewhat rugged hike down to the river directly from the campground. I couldn't find much information on where I could swim or paddle board from, but ended up finding a trail that led to a beautiful sand point in lake Pepin. There's also a nice swimming beach off of the main road that goes into Old Frontenac. The campsites were closer together than I expected. It wasn't very busy Wednesday through Friday, but it got pretty loud once the weekend guests showed up Friday night.
