We just returned from a 5 day stay at hoodoo point. We loved it! There is lots to do - basketball, volleyball, swimming, fishing, iron mine tours, sea plane tours and more. The beach is clean and the water is clear.

There is a camp store where campers can buy candy, clothing, food and ice cream. Additionally, you can order pizza and firewood that the owners will deliver right to your campsite.

There are bathrooms and free showers with seemingly unlimited hot water. Yes, they are older and sometimes a bit dirty, but no complaints because anytime there are free hot showers, I am pumped!

There is a large variety of types of campsites. We stayed right on the lake. Would have loved a tiny bit more privacy, but we had a thin line of trees separating us from our neighbors. We launched our kayaks right from our site.

The campground hosts were so friendly!! Always willing to answer questions, give fishing tips and made us feel welcomed!

Overall, a fabulous campground that we plan to visit every year!

This is the worst campground I have ever seen. Bathrooms are outdated and dirty, the campsites are very badly maintained and have no privacy. The beach area is terrible, found beer cans in the water, the water is so muddy and dirty that you can’t see anything including the trash you step on. The place was so depressing that we couldn’t stay there. We left without the refund. We were told that this campground is owned by the city and if you dissatisfied you can’t dispute with the people that were running the place... They charged our debit card without any problems but couldn’t refund without the city approval.

Great camping experience!

Campground host, Randy went above and beyond with pre-arrival communication. Escorted us to our campsite and delivered firewood. We love the location and privacy of the sites! We will continue going back but will be sure to bring a fishing boat with us next time!
