Entrance to the park is 15 miles south of the town of Roseau on State Highway 89, then 9 miles east on Roseau County Road 4.
The place is very cute. Excellently clean. The roadway is not paving but quite passable. Fresh air. The water not so clean, I mean had green slime. It is cold depending on the time of year. Very distant in my opinion. Very lonely, wild animals could be seen, so be very careful. Bring enough fuel and groceries. There is nothing close for about 45 minutes or more. Really a unique experience but I achieved it because I lived close to it, otherwise it would not be worth it for the distance. But if you love forests this would be your place
If you want peace, quiet, seclusion and a break from the fast pace of the world trying to keep up with the internet, this park is perfect! We stayed for a week the third week of September and basically had the park to ourselves, perfect. Good well maintained hiking trails, large campsites and the sounds of nature was just what we needed.
