I did not Camp here but I want to! I hiked through here. The sites are at the water. There are docks next to the sites! This looks like an awesome place to camp.
For Kerri to have the title of a 'Co-Host' for this campground is pretty silly. She is more of an ambassador to the city of Akeley. My wife and I camped here this week and were fortunate enough to have Kerri here to make us feel welcome and comfortable. This all while she single handedly ran one of the best running and cleanest campgrounds we have ever been to. Bravo Kerri and thank you!

Keri (sp?) was an amazing host! They definitely work hard to make this an above par campground! Docks were great, close to the bike path, services offered, connected to great city swim beach, dollar general is right up the road, and sites are spacious. Will definitely camp here again!
Quiet, well-kept campsites along the lake. They offer easy access to off-road trails and a decent sized beach with playground so whether you want to relax in the sun and splash around or ride off into the woods there's plenty to enjoy. It's situated behind the treeline on the west end of Akeley so you have a quick walk/ride to grab supplies if needed. The location has a decent amount of sites and appeared they might be expanding but there was not signage indicating the clearing was intended for the campground. They have bathrooms which were clean, a covered/screened fish cleaning station, and a dump station. Overall, this campground is a hidden gem in central Minnesota if you want to camp.
