From KS Turnpike Kellogg exit west approx. 0.5 mile to Rock Rd. South on Rock Rd 2.5 miles to Main Gate (on right). Proceed through main gate then turn left onto Wichita St. Go about a mile and turn left onto Mulvane Rd. Go another half a mile to Outdoor Recreation on left. Check-in there. Krueger Recreation Area is to the West of Outdoor Recreation.
I am enjoying my time at the McConnell AFB FamCamp. The cooler weather makes this part of base a beautiful and peaceful paradise. The people at Outdoor Recreation help to keep the area clean and inviting, with nice activities to pass time during a stay. I prefer taking long walks and enjoy the quietness that nature provides, so I cannot comment on other activities that I know McConnell Outdoor Recreation offers to it's guests or base personnel.
Affordable. Utilities worked fine. Spacious concrete pads. Wi-Fi was superb (unlike the majority of RV parks). T-Mobile 5G was blazing fast (300Mbps+). Nearby walking paths. Close to the dining hall and other resources.
We had fun. Rain and cold but that's late October. Grounds up kept great.
Heat tape on the water spigot, a couple fishing ponds, excellent wifi & password posted on electrical box. Concrete pads with a decent amount of space between. BX & Commissary both small, especially BX, but easy to find your way around.
