This recreation area is part of Marion Reservoir
Great place for a relaxing extra long weekend. The covered shelter for the picnic table was an extra bonus for us. The lake is beautiful. Appreciated seeing park patrol and local sheriff drive by too. We will be back to Marion Lake and plan to stay at Hillsboro Cove.
My cats love it.
But I fish from the bank and get snagged on rocks all the time.
But it is very nicely maintained.
And thank goodness for the camp host!!!
Outstanding camp grounds, well maintained site with fire pit, bbq, covered picnic table. The trees are nice sized and new ones planted for future. Bathroom and shower facilities are excellent. It was super quite. The staff was friendly. I'll definitely go back if in the area again.
Decided to go for a couple of days before the busy Labor Day holiday weekend. Hardly anyone here and spaces are large! Great COE!! I stayed in #44 and I think is the perfect spot, but don't tell any body! LOL Checked out bathroom facilities - very clean (not sure if showers had hot water).
