Take I-70 to the 290 exit and proceed north 5 miles to 837. Continue west on 837 for 6 miles to reach the park entrance.
Beautiful.
Quiet.
Great price for Passport America holders.
Electric, water, and dump station.
We stayed here in site A4. Nice site, great views of lake. Notice no campground host to greet or tell us where to go, no rangers. Hubby said bathrooms were buggy. I Noticed a camper who moved in next to us NEVER picked her rather large dogs waste.
She also let him walk all over dragging his leash
I wasn't happy about that cause who wants to smell that. Thrre was no one to register a complaint to. that especially since he took a rather large fump behind our camper
We stayed in the D loop, out on the peninsula. We chose that spot because it would be remote so the dogs wouldn’t be constantly distracted by other people. Multiple fishermen came and parked at our occupied campsite and walked through it, despite there being several other empty campsites a little father down. We asked them to fish somewhere else, again because of the dogs- they refused. Never had anything like this happen camping before, I don’t think anyone would enjoy strange people walking around their tents at odd hours. Will not be coming here again
We stayed in Loop A, spot 9, with very few other campers in August 2023. Very nice and clean park. Didn’t notice any bugs at all. Very peaceful. Women’s restroom inside could use some repairs but was very clean.
