This ORV-oriented campground offers access to Capitol State Forest's 89 miles of motorized trail. Campground has 24 campsites, and four toilets.
Continue west on Waddell Creek Road from Margaret McKenny entrance for 1.2 miles. Turn left .1 miles to site. Get directions.
Excellent place to camp and ride atvs, or go hiking. Campground is kept clean and quick access to trails. Camp hosts are so very helpful and have a wealth of knowledge of the surroundings. A+
Very fun place to camp, especially if you have atv's. Great creek and hiking. Great fun for the kids.
Being just on the outskirts of town. Yet feels like your a million miles away deep in the forest. With wildlife to boot. A very pleasant camp host as well. We will be back next season!
This campground is in the Olympic National Forest and managed by the WA State Department of National Forest. You can stay free for 7 days in a 365 day period. Pit toilet only, no trash recepticals ( pack out what you bring in). The hiking trail is shared with atv's, quads, and dirt bikes. There is constant gun fire from wherever the front folks go to target practice.. generally, 10am till dusk
