Porter Creek Campground is a popular area for motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and picnicking in the day-use area. This 16-campsite campground is near Porter Creek and surrounded by large Douglas-fir trees. Campers are required to register on-site. Download a map of the area. After Labor Day, the campground will remain open on a first-come, first-serve basis until Nov. 2.
Start at the junction of SR-12 and Porter Creek Road. Go northeast on Porter Creek Road for 3.4 miles. At the intersection, go straight on B-line Road for .6 miles. The site is on left. Get directions.
First come, first serve.
Campgrounds are clean as well as accessible. They aren't that eye catching but let's face it you don't camp somewhere just to admire where you sleep. There are numerous things to do in the area that are hands down worth it. One of which is the hike down to the falls.
One of my fav hikes. Easy even if you are out of shape. Usually our first hike of the year.
Love camping there during the week it's quite weekend are busy and a little noisy cause of the dirt hikes
Went to Porter Creek Falls, we started at Porter Crrek Campground. It was a 1.98 mile out and back with a 397eg. A very beautiful hike and the falls are wonderful. At the end of the trail Porter Creek meets West Porter Creek and they become one.
Super cool hike through the woods.
There's a good edge on some of the trail and alot of roots and rocks so watch your step.yiu need a discover pass and there's really not any parking but there is alot of places to camp so if that's your thing the falls would be an added bonus to see. Once you come out of the woods, you'll see multiple small waterfalls in an Oasis and ponds with flowing water. It was Nice and soaked up alot of nature that day.
