Love horse camping at BBQ Flats. Nice spacious mostly flat, pull thru parking choices. Fabulous flowers and views. Enjoy the non motorized routes and the trails. Elk, deer, turkey, grouse.
It was very crowded. A member of our party had a vehicle hit and run them. There were people who were driving through the camp area looking to steal, some members of our group stayed behind and scared them off.
Good riding except the motorcycles in camp and shooting in camp. Motorcycles were on the horse trails. I believe they are to stay on the dirt roads. Bathrooms were really clean. Back Country Horseman is doing an awesome job keeping the camp clean. Just need to keep out the side by sides and motorcycles.!!!!!!!
We had all sorts of weather, been years since I had ridden there, did alot of wondering. 😂
Great place to camp, clean bathrooms and good for camp trailers and tents. No RV hookups but we did have cell coverage. Easy access to trails that go for miles for horses, ATVs, and off road vehicles. Would definitely stay there again.
