Didn't camp there just parked and hiked the NCT. The bathrooms where clean and the lady doing some of the maintenance and cleaning was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area itself.

Awesome little campground. Also its National Forest. I feel Nat Forest Campgrounds are kept up better the State AND they are cheaper.

I just had to take a leak. I didn't want to use the outhouse (for reasons) so I parked 100 feet away and discreetly took care of business. As I zipped up this thirtyish woman exits the outhouse with the ugliest big dog I've ever seen. I know why she had the dog with her... she's scared of guns. She sees me and gives me a dirty look. Everybody's scared of everyone. Gottamn trumpy voters, fox spews freaks. Thanks for considering my rant.

Very nice campground in the forest. Easily accessible to move around. Fire pits with cooking grates and picnic tables.

Closes in Sep. This would be nice to camp thru the fall And winter to bad. Stream access is nice and close. Hi

We ended up shut out at the Lake Mich. Rec. Area, glad I remembered I stared this campground some time ago as a “wants to visit”.. what a gem of a campground! We arrived later on a Fri. eve, 9ish, only 2 other sites occupied. Was amazingly quiet and oddly mosquito free for our stay. We sat on the last spot next to the public parking for the boat launch, no noise issues, everyone pulling through was respectful. Sites are very good size. We had a pop up with enough ground space for multiple tents if wanted. There is also a large group site area for that family reunion camping fun.

Maybe 30 well maintained stairs get you down to the awesome little boat launch into Little Manistee. Sturdy rope swing as well if your adventurous.

It’s a Federal campground, no host on site but they do travel through early in the day. Clean vault toilets, well maintained.
