Hideaway Campground is a delightful campground tailored to families who wish to have a quiet and relaxing atmosphere while enjoying all the fun-filled activities that make the Silver Lake Sand Dunes region famous.
We have large wooded campsites with electricity and water, as well as seasonal, primitive and pull-through sites available. Amenities like modern, clean restrooms with hot showers contribute to your comfort. At the same time, our heated kidney-shaped pool, playground, and scheduled camp activities offer fun without ever having to leave the campground. And our cottages are perfect for those who want all the comforts of home away from home. We even have a fully functional camping trailer for rent at the campground for the ultimate camping experience.
Your family will find even longer stays convenient with our camp store, to keep you stocked with the necessities, and our on-premise laundry, to make sure you have clean clothes every morning. And with 24-hour security, you can feel safe as you make wonderful memories that your family will keep forever.

We love staying at this campground. Family friendly and clean.
Nice store, convenient hours. Open until 11pm even during the off-season. Can buy firewood right there too. Pricey items but worth it when you need it. Quiet little get away
Very nice facilities. Close to the dunes. The restaurant pizza is scrumptious. Camping neighbors were all kind. Campground staff helped after a mixup with our sites. We’ve stayed here twice.
I appreciate campground staff for keeping the bathrooms clean and supplies refreshed.
We very much enjoyed our stay and will return.
Just a glorified trailer park. The rustic tent sites in the back corner are the only spots I would ever camp IF we had to come back here. This place is mismanaged, the staff are extremely obsessive about certain things but not consistent in enforcing them. For example - one night around 6 or 7 PM one of the families in our group turned on their small generator to run their AC for a little before bed (it was very hot that day) a staff member came by after about 15 minutes to demand it gets turned off and not turned on again, because it was “too loud”. While she’s very aggressively enforcing that on us, the party group across the street from us is BLARING music (most of it not appropriate for our kids) and are never asked to turn it down or off… it went on until 10:30 or 11. Not to mention the bathrooms are disgusting, clearly they are spot cleaned to make it seem like they keep up with them because the women’s was out of soap for 2 days, and there are little flies everywhere. In the counter, in the sink, flying around you as you pee, etc. The park is so over crowded and filled mostly with people that live there. The only plus side and probably the only reason why people would stay here is because of the location.
Best campground in the silver lake area. I’ve been coming here for 30 years now. Super fun and safe for all ages. I was sad to see the main office/shop burnt down.
