This campground was great for what we needed, which was just a landing spot. Close to Bellaire, Torch, and Elk Rapids. It is right on M88 so if you are looking for a location that is more quiet, this probably isn't the place for you as there can be a lot of road noise. The tent sites are pretty close to one another, which can be great if you are camping with a large group and have multiple sites reserved. Luckily, we were the only ones in our area but I can see how it would not be ideal if you wanted a little more space and privacy. Lastly, if you want to lock in the spot you want, it's an additional cost, which I think is odd. I've not camped elsewhere that makes you pay more to ensure the spot you've reserved is the spot you get.

My wife and I stayed at Chain O' Lakes campground in Bellaire from. September 28 to October 1, 2023. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We arrived late, near sundown, and were warmly welcome, told not to worry about the check in at that time as it was late, and were offered a more quiet and upgraded site at no extra charge. The campground was very comfortable and clear, with large and level sites. We had a great stay at Chain O' Lakes, will stay there if vacationing in the area, and would recommend it as a great place to camp in the area.

We stayed at Chain O'Lakes for the first time this October and were very pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly, our full hookup site was spacious and the trail next to our site was great for walking our dog. Bellaire has so much to offer for the outdoor enthusiast and we found lots to do within a short drive from the campground. The owners appear to be making lots of changes so I can imagine it will only continue to enhance the park. Very reasonably priced too, we will definitely be back.

This was my first time ever camping with a camper. The owners were great and very accommodating for my stay. I had a camper but did not hook up to water/sewage. The public facilities were clean and well maintained. Super friendly and highly recommend staying there. I hope to be back next season!

I would absolutely come back to this campground. The new owners have done wonders at updating and keeping everything clean and they were so nice greeting us when we arrived. The workampers are cleaning the spots after each camper leaves and making sure everything looks nice for the next person. It truly was a great camping experience sitting by our fire and enjoying ourselves. We're definitely adding it to our plans next year to come back!
