Highway to Haven Family Campground offers over 100 large shaded campsites, each with independent water and 20/30 amp only electric hookups. The campground is located less than 2 miles from beautiful Lake Michigan, Grand Haven Beach, and vibrant Downtown which offers entertainment, festivals, nightlife, and the world-famous Musical Fountain!
Definitely a recommended spot. We randomly picked Grand Haven for our anniversary weekend get away we do every year. There was camp sites available last min and we are so happy there was. Felt so welcomed by the staff here. Lots to do around Grand Haven and in the camp ground it’s self. They have updated and clean facility’s and the grounds are very keep up as well. Lots of memories to be made.
Great campground for families with many games set out for them to enjoy. Super friendly staff notified me they wouldn't be in the office when I was arriving and left a welcome packet for me. Wifi boosters throughout the campground, so working remotely from here was a breeze!!! As for neighbors, no hassle or close quarters like GHSP. Plus they allow booze within reason. The only negative is the road noise from 31 during the day, but hey, it's a campground in a freaking city! The road noise really does quiet down after 10 pm... The bathrooms are the best they can do without a complete remodel. New toilets and fixtures are nice. The new owner is clearly interested in making this place desirable. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
I'm very happy with my choice to stay here this year. I'll be back for sure.
Just a gem! The new owners have made this a destination for local and out of town campers. Good sized lots with picnic table and fire ring. Loads of shade (Sorry GH state park and your concrete jungle parking lots with barley enough room to put your awning out before touching somebody else’s camper) Yard games, pickle-ball court, basketball, kids playground, community center with seating and gas grill, firewood for sale, small store for camping needs. A great home base while exploring all of Grand Haven’s downtown shopping, numerous festivals, amazing assortment of food/breweries and shopping! Can’t wait to see you there!
Great campground for families! There is a lot to at the actual campground for kids and a lot to do if you want to leave. A short drive to Lake Michigan to enjoy the beach.
The campground has a public grill for its guests to use which is a huge bonus for us. The bathrooms were always clean and kept up. The roads are not paved for scooters or rollerblades but good enough for bike riding. We will definitely be going back!
We enjoyed our 3 nights. The campground was very clean. We were able to enjoy pickle ball, basketball, corn hole, connect 4, and various other games they had readily available. It was surprising to enter the campground using the drive on the back side of the car dealership, but once you knew where you were going it wasn’t a problem. Our spot backed up to US31 and we did hear the traffic on the highway. (It is called HIGHWAY to Haven) We knew that ahead of time, so it didn’t bother us. Someone wanting a completely quiet spot might be bothered.
