Forgot to post this last summer and a YouTuber with mcalpine came up so now I rembered So here’s the hard truth it’s 35$ to enter and 35$ for a person who won’t even fish💀if ya got kids and They can’t even fish don’t come at all tell the wife ya going with a friend instead it’s not family welcomed it’s family scammed. Second
7$ per pound after catching trout past your 4lb limit, now you caught 4 trout each like 3 lbs guessing what 12lbs total but 4lbs are free so it’s 8lbs left for you to pay that’s 56$! on top of your entrance 91$ you just spent to fish there 💀I get it if the entrance was 10$ or pound at least at 2-3$ a pound but ay man idk theirs horshoe lake in Fremont too that got lighting and rainbow and coyote lake still has them secretly 🌈.then it’s 7or 8am opening time to 5pm closing you could only catch their tagged catfish for $$$ most likely right as they open ya can’t stay till 8-9pm sadly unless ya camping I believe. Overall sick pond but pricing is defiently their greedy problem. Money is being made already from rental rv’s really why not charge 10$ for an entrance fee instead it’s not like money won’t be made ya asking 7$ for each pound still. And I’m pretty sure lots of people go. But man at least lower the entrance fee or the pound limit to like 2$ or 3$ and actually have a day pass for a person who’s not fishing cause man that pond is beautiful especially to walk around and some people really just want to see the pond so 10$ entrance fee would not hurt you as now other people who don’t even fish can go for 10$ a person just to see or eat or relax there and bbq. Maybe make some deals bro for family or groups of people and not count kids under 4 years old as $$
A diamond in the ruff. A great little hidden gem, great for families, fishing, picnics, a great little trail for walking around the lake. I absolutely love the seperate little private wooden docks. I love taking pictures here. The staff is great and welcoming.
Had a fun little fishing trip to Lake McAlpine today. It was super cute and good place to take the kiddos fishing! Since no license was required you have to purchase a daily permit, which was a little on the pricey side, the only real bad comment I had. There are a few restrooms around the lake and it is not very big at all so a walk around the lake before we left was nice! Had some picnic tables, fire pits, plenty of benches to sit at and there even some places to BBQ at. Would reccommend, and will probably go back.
I really enjoyed fishing here, my friend Craig brought me since we both love to fish. I was on vacation and no longer a calif resident so I didn't have a fishing license but you pay $30 for the daily permit to fish and I was very happy with that. I also caught 2 fish. The staff were friendly and I will gi back when in calif.
Im sure the fishing is nice, but these two dudes in a white truck were total trash. Rather go anywhere else then this place. I do not recommend. White truck can be seen in the reflection, watch out for it.
