There must be a different camp host in 2023 as we really enjoyed our stay. They got us reserved in a pinch, over the phone, and had a spot ready for us 6 hours later!
Positives
-super friendly and attentive host, thanks Don!
-big rig friendly, easy in and out
-level concrete spots with full hook up and 50 amp. There are 12 spots.
-not a lot of road noise and other RVers keep to themselves
-nice green lawn behind rigs for your pups!
-felt safe, lots of lighting
-free passes to air museum! Pretty cool to check out!
-close to a Costco, Walmart, target. Walking distance to a food truck lot with great dinner options.
-good cell reception and starlink works great.
Negatives
-$45/night for bare bones…but when you are in a pinch and need electric, it is what it is!
-still a family of cats. They didn’t bother us nor the dog but they are there.
In a pinch, we’d be back! Don the camp host is a superstar and made us feel very welcomed and cared for!
It's about Real History. I had a blast, even though it was 112° out there. Very helpful and very knowledgeable young lady at the gift shop.🥇 They even had a F 16/ Air Force One/ SR 17 supper cool. There was restrooms and air conditioned museum.
This was interesting, I think if they offered guided tours it could be way better. Also, you cant climb up to any of the planes. The best part for me was the indoor museum at the end. It's a lot of walking outside so bring comfortable shoes. They do offer scooters for people who need assistance walking long distances. A little pricey in my opinion. I paid $36 for one adult and a teen child.
It was a great day to go see the planes. You never truly appreciate the advancement in aircraft technology until you see them all in one place. The sheer size of a few of them leave you in complete awe. My favorite was the SR-71.
Large assortment of WWII Era and modern aircraft with a great little museum and gift shop. The folks who run it are Veterans who are as friendly as they are knowledgeable. Must see if you are in the area.
