Nice primitive Campground. It was very quiet when we were there midweek. Pit toilet was clean. There was a single person homeless encampment on down from it. But we wouldn't have known if we hadn't stumbled upon it
Love it! People were pretty friendly and there was a perfect area for me to shoot my bow and arrow. There appeared to be a way to the water but I didn't go down. I just like the peaceful feeling of seeing the water and hillside. I also noticed a trail down the road and walking distance from the camp. I'll definitely be going back to check it out since I'm only an hour away. The road is tight but I was ok in my 26 foot RV (I wouldn't advise anything too much bigger than that).
Decent enough spot. We came in thru the south and the road said “no thru access”. Thankfully it got us to the ‘campground’, which is basically a big parking lot. We found a spot below the dam that was more secluded. The water is nice, but very cold. There’s a boat launch and the bathrooms are actually not completely disgusting, but there is no real beach to the lake nor rivers you can enjoy from the campsite. We climbed down a side path from the boat launch and there was enough beach for 2 people and a dog.
A quaint location with an eye in the sky near by. There are cameras around the area because of the dam. Nothing to be alarmed about imo, but a good idea to be aware none the less. We stopped in here for just a short while. Might be a good camping spot for the future.
