The hike there was perfect. We went in Sept. We hiked the mountain trail and all of a sudden it opened up to a beautiful pine surrounded lake. It was awesome.
A beautiful and relatively easy hike to the amazingly gorgeous May Lake high up enough in the mountains that we still saw unmelted snow! 💗 Well worth the hike and a must-do!
There are flush toilets here! That was an awesome surprise. It is so gorgeous here. The water is off/ capped rn, so be sure to plan a way to filter. We hiked from Murphy's Creek (it's dry) to May Lake- about 6.5 miles. It's a great and fairly easy hike (not tons of incline). I very highly recommend!
