The fantastic vista overlooks Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, and the Yosemite High Country. A 10.5-mile guided ski trip on intermediate groomed terrain through magnificent Yosemite backcountry takes you to the rustic accommodations of our beautiful stone and log building. We have a dining area, several sofas surrounding a wood stove, and indoor lavatory facilities.
Trips to Glacier Point Ski Hut can be guided or self-guided, but advance reservations for all trips are required. Children must be at least 14 years old and accompanied by an adult in order to stay at the hut. For self-guided Glacier Point Hut Trips, guide yourselves safely to and from the hut and the hut keeper will provide dinner, breakfast, lunch for the ski out and a warm place to enjoy the evening.
If you have a limited amount of time or can only spend a few minutes glacier point is definitely the stop for you. Why go to the valley when you can see all of the valleys main attractions from one awesome location can't get any better pictures than this.
Incredible view, we drove bike without traffic, Not a lot of turnouts (if you're driving slow and there are cars behind you, !), so be prepared for this taking longer than it should.
There is nothing like this, it is definitely worth to see, plus we took a nap on the top. What a life. A friend visited us as we were taking a nap. LOL.
Beautiful. I went in early December and had to take four mile trail due to road closures. It came out to be a little over 9 miles round trip, but was worth every mile. I would highly recommend it
Gorgeous. Make sure you enter the park with a full tank of gas. From the entrance ticketing booth, it is about 50 minutes to Glacier point. Views are great. Plenty of parking at the site. But Restrooms are gross and needed ventilation. Bring wet wipes.
