What a sweet little country resort in the middle of the state on a beautiful lake! This was my FIRST travel experience with my newly purchased RV and I was evacuating from hurricane Ian because I live in a flood zone. Melisha and her crew knew my circumstances and were EXTRA helpful at check in! They stayed with me to make sure I was okay getting set up even though it was just after dusk and raining!!! I called them once for some troubleshooting help and they came right over and solved my problem (and taught me a few things). Someone road by the campsite and kindly checked if all was okay each day, even though they were busy trying to clean up all the debris hurricane Ian left behind.
I was surprised at how many full timers and seasonal residents they have! Lots of knowledge and experience in that park! It’s not normally a location I would pick to go, but now that I’ve seen their little slice of paradise, I’ll definitely go back. In fact I kept extending my trip- it went from 3 days to a week- because I was so comfortable there! Great prices and a perfect little store on property. HIGHLY suggest!
Spent two great nights at their Gone Fish Inn. Very modest rooms but have everything you need for a fishing trip: stove, microwave, big refrigerator, AC, TV, dishes & pans… Staff was all extremely friendly. Booked a guided bass fishing trip with Captain Morris Campbell (who lives on property). I’ve followed him on the “Fishidy” app for years. Clients always catch monster bass.
He is a true southern gentleman and fantastic fisherman and teacher. I caught 20 bass with a number between 6-8 pounds and finished the day with a 13 POUND 10 OUNCE beast!!!!!!!!
Can’t wait to stay at the Inn again and fish with Captain Morris.
Camper beware- despite advertising as full hookup, the most expensive sites have little to no water supply. No improvement whatsoever over a month later.
Outstanding first time RV experience primarily due to the manager, Heath, who helped me understand how to properly hook up and un-hook up my RV trailer!!!! Heath sets a world class standard for customer service, I cannot begin to thank him enough for his help throughout my entire stay. Nice quiet scenic area. Everyone was very friendly. Park was clean with nice amenities.
Great place for a mini vacation fishing trip...we have been coming over here for years. Our cabin was very clean, and accommodating. Lilly Beth one of the workers here was very sweet and helpful. We Definitely will be coming back.
