The site is beautiful, restrooms are clean and there are a lot of attractions for children and grown people.
The problem is that when we arrived (6.30 pm) everything was closed and there was already nobody for checking in.
Outside the swimming pool and the pond there were big signs with written closure time 9 pm, but at 6.30pm they were closed!
Maybe we arrived in low season period (Aug 30th) and attractions opening time are changing, but they should put some notice on the website and they should change the timing on the signs...
We are KOA members and love to explore local properties for easy getaways. We just stayed at Madison in a Cabin - which was new for us. The cabin site was great, very shaded and within walking distance to all activities. The store is at the top of the hill so we did drive for wood and dumpster as the walk would have been a bit much with the kids. Very family friendly, our kids loved fishing in the pond and jumping on the pad. We really enjoyed our stay overall and will be returning for sure!
We recently stayed at this KOA, & it's quite, & a perfect location for the wedding we were invited to. It also worked out great for us as we like too attend different renaissance fairs. The Pittsburgh renaissance fair was only 7 miles away. This was our 1st time at this fair, & this KOA location. I was very please with the value, & how clean the site was; Also it seemed to have a bunch of upgrades. If we are ever in this location again we'll put this at the top of of our list of KAO's to stay at.
Overall not a bad stay but it’s a lower level KOA. You can tell a lot of things are dated and need updated. The permanent guests don’t seem to be held to a standard. The campsites are full of trash and really look negative on the park. A lot of potholes on the road coming in.
