As a woman in semi, this place feels safe. Parking lot well lit and trucks are not stacked. Very clean parking lot, doesn’t smell like pee. Inside clean, love’s employees friendly and helpful. My husband and I ate at both the godfathers and subway, food was fresh and employees were welcoming and kind. This by far is the best Love’s we have ever stopped at! Love’s needs to send other location employees to this store to learn customer service skill to treat professional drivers with the respect they deserve. Thank you Walsenburg Love’s employees 🩷
I stopped here quite often and today I was not amused to pull up to the pumps needing to get fuel one of six pumps is out of service and the other five blocks are blocked by trucks. Every truck driver that I saw come back to a truck at the island jumped in the truck and drove away without fueling. It would be nice if drivers actually pull up away from the pump so the next person can use it. And I do understand the necessity of a driver to jump out of the truck run into a restroom or need to go inside and pay.
It is a beautiful and clean truck stop. They have many food and drink options and gifts to choose from. A few of the soap dispensers were empty as was the hand sanitizer for the women's bathroom.
