The Pearson Camp is a very primitive camping experience which has been designated a Hunter's Camp. Located on U.S. Hwy 167, the easy access to the camp and to the National Catahoula Wildlife Management Preserve make the Pearson Camp a very popular camp during hunting season.
From Alexandria, take U.S. Highway 167 north for 27 miles. The Pearson Camp is on the right (east) side of the road.
The only drawback is that there's no water source here otherwise there is a restroom and the whole time that I was here even when the hunters were all around me it has been very quiet.
No amenities no people quiet but close to the road. If you not looking it you will miss it. Best of all it was frew
