I’m big on great bread and mortadella, Lorenzo’s covered both. Chewy and fluffy at once on the house made focaccia, perfect amount of mortadella and parm pate, red peppers, pistachios, and basil. Can’t wait to try more of their sandwiches and salads.

Yes it’s like $17 a sandwich, but it’s absolutely worth it. I got the Zola and it was the perfect balance of salty sweet and the Gorgonzola brought such a great earthy richness of flavor that balanced it all out super nicely. Also the bread was incredibly fresh and had an (again) perfect crunchy crust but still light and fluffy interior. The seating isn’t great, tables are just kinda crammed where they can fit, but a phenomenal Florentine sandwich shop in LA.

If there's a city where it's remotely acceptable to sell a $19 sandwich that doesn't look awfully filling, it's going to be Beverly Hills... and if there's someone who says "I'll never pay that" yet finds herself here 3 times in the last 2 months, it's me.

By far my favorite is the GIARDINERA. Focaccia from Bianca Bakery is clutch - one of my favorite bakeries. Fresh prosciutto sliced to perfection, and spicy pickled veggies, with their sauce. It is deceivingly filling for me but I'm not sure a grown man with a healthier appetite would agree. The mortadella one was okay and I would have preferred more seasoning, whether it be calabrian chilis or something else. You can purchase those as sides.

Note: Dining in gets CRAZY - the tables are narrow and there isn't much space, but it adds to the bustling deli vibe. Come during an off hour if possible. Take out is my preference, the bread is strong enough to hold for a quick drive back home.

The couple who runs the shop seems to have regulars already. They're kind but busy, so don't expect 5 star service. It's a quick in and out type of place.

Parking in one of the Beverly Hills lots is easily accessible right behind the shop, $2/hour.

I would like to think I'm a bit of a sandwich connoisseur so I'm always on the hunt for the best of the best. I decided to try lorenzo out after a friend of mine said it was the best sandwich she's had in Cali.

I ordered the Cotto. The first thing I noticed when biting into this sandwich was strange sensation like there was wax paper attached to the bread. It was very odd and I didn't get used to it until the sandwich was half done. So I can't say I was a fan of the bread. However the inside was delicious. Perhaps a little too much brie. Because it was so heavy on the cheese the sandwich was very filling and could have easily been two meals.

I'm going to give this place another chance as I want to try one of their other sandwiches now. Maybe the bakery that bakes their bread just had an off day.

Don't count on eating inside here as there was only three little tables with a couple of seats each cramped into their tiny eating area. However, a couple were available when I was ordering my food to go. It took about 10 minutes for them to fulfill my order after ordering it.

Tasty Italian sandwiches in Beverly Hills. The owners are from Florence and you can tell it has some similarities to the famous sandwich shop there. The bread is very rustic, crunchy exterior and soft and airy interior. Meats and other ingredients are also really fresh. We got the Lorenzo and the Capriccio which were both delicious. The lemon mousse also was fresh and not too sweet.

Limited seating but easy to take on the go. The prices are on the higher end but honestly, not as bad as I thought and appropriate for what you are getting.
